Revolut has never been the best app for crypto trading, especially considering the small cryptocurrency list and the crazy high fees. However, it’s so simple to begin that most users forget to take a closer look at these aspects. It’s also easy to start if you already have an account where you can buy at least some of the most popular cryptos. But at what cost?
For most people, the small crypto list on Revolut is enough to feel the roller coaster that crypto trading offers. However, if you’d like to try something more established and pay significantly less in fees, you can check eToro. You may save a lot on buying/selling fees when trading cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano etc. Here’s a quick example of buying Bitcoin worth 2,000 EUR on Revolut and how much it would cost:
Don’t invest unless you’re prepared to lose all the money you invest. This is a high-risk investment, and you should not expect to be protected if something goes wrong. Take 2 minutes to learn more.
Let’s move on and check what cryptocurrencies are available on Revolut.

The best crypto to buy on Revolut
The cryptocurrency market is very volatile, and it’s not always growing. When the market is falling, and the crypto fear and greed index warns about potential issues, it may be an excellent opportunity to short cryptos. Revolut offers only the opportunity to buy cryptocurrencies, and there’s no option to stake them. This means that you don’t have the opportunity to profit in the event of a market downturn.
Suppose you want to trade cryptocurrencies and be ready to profit in both market situations – a market downturn and a market upturn. In that case, you can try the eToro cryptocurrency platform. On eToro, you can trade CFDs and short various assets. However, cryptocurrency prices are very volatile, and you should be careful when trading or investing in cryptos. Below is our subjective opinion: you should always perform due diligence before investing. And it’s still cheaper to buy cryptocurrencies on eToro, especially with the new fee structure.
Most popular cryptocurrencies on Revolut
We believe that investing in unknown and new cryptocurrencies that are not listed on the most popular exchanges is riskier, and caution is highly recommended. But which cryptos are more popular? When Revolut introduced cryptocurrency trading, they added only the most popular cryptocurrencies. These were:
- Bitcoin
- Ethereum
- Litecoin
- Bitcoin Cash
- Ripple
- Stellar
Newly added crypto trading
Another cryptocurrency trading strategy people use is looking for new cryptos that are being added to exchanges. Usually, that means a cryptocurrency is getting more accessible to a larger investor pool and may increase in value. If you are trading cryptos on Revolut, you can check the newest coin additions and see if any of these meet the criteria.
Automated crypto trading
If you are starting and have no idea what to buy, you can always check what professional traders are doing. Even better, some platforms offer a copy trading feature, where you can copy every trade they make, I.e. eToro. The list of cryptos on eToro is very similar, and you can find some coins that are not available on Revolut yet.
You can read more about Revolut features and fees in our Revolut cryptocurrency review, where we go through the buying process and other aspects of cryptocurrency trading on Revolut.
First, make sure you understand how crypto investing works. Secondly, assess all the risks involved. Once ready to invest, go through the Revolut crypto list and pick the cryptocurrency you believe in. If you don’t know, which cryptocurrency to buy, you can do as many cryptocurrency investors do by sticking to the most popular ones to reduce the risks involved.

There are rumours that Revolut is developing its crypto token. However, there are no official announcements from the company yet. Various sources mention that it could be focused on the European and other markets outside the U.S. Since Revolut is a regulated financial institution, the regulation and time are likely the central questions before it officially launches.

When Hbar (hedera hashgraph) available??
Hi Jonas,
We don’t have such information. However, based on a market cap., Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR) is currently in the top 50. Revolut has 22 coins from the top 50 and it keeps adding more almost every week. I believe that they could add HBAR soon as well.
It seems, that they don’t have Stablecoins ..

It’s will be able the Vechain, (VET) coin in revolut?
Hi Nikk,
Revolut hasn’t introduced any new coins for a long time now.
Hopefully, we’ll see updates soon because some coins have been performing very well but they are not available on Revolut. Unfortunately, Vechain (VET) is one of them.
We noticed that eToro recently started to add more coins. If they keep up with it, they may be first to add Vechain. I.e. Some coins they offer that are not available on Revolut are: MIOTA, NEO, Tron, Zcash, Binance Coin and Spark.
